The Dark Heart of Paris
When I stepped into the Conciergerie, I knew I wasn’t walking into a “good place.” This historic site—once a royal palace, then a gruesome prison—holds one of the darkest energies I’ve ever felt in France. Before I even crossed the threshold, the psychic impressions hit me like a tidal wave: Blood. Panic. Despair.
And something far more sinister than just death.
What the Spirits Showed Me First
The moment I entered, I saw women on their knees praying, weeping with hopelessness. Over them loomed a man in a black Christopher-Columbus-style hat, curly hair, and the energy of a sadist. He fed on suffering. Watching them cry brought him pleasure.I felt royal energy too—a king striding through with his entourage, followed by soldiers. This wasn’t just a prison. It was once a stage for power.
Then it shifted: older women sneaking in at night with lanterns and bags of food, hoping to comfort those held here. And then—he appeared—a spirit in a cape and rounded hat who whispered:“I’m going to show you around.”
Suddenly, 65 spirits gathered, curious and watchful. This was going to be a long, haunting walk.
Rooms That Whisper Pain
Every space here screams in its own way. I felt the energy of noblewomen—bored, praying by windows—cut off from the world. Then, in another corner, tall men in white linen robes, strangers from the north, diplomats from places like Belgium or Iceland. Their energy still lingers.
But then I entered the room that reeked of agony. The air was heavy. My skin crawled. This is where Marie Antoinette was held.I could feel it—her terror, her exhaustion, her despair. And then the visions came:✔ She was raped repeatedly in prison.✔ She was beaten, taunted, her eyes swollen from tears and blows.✔ They cut her hair here before her execution.
And that wasn’t all. This wasn’t just her cell. It was a torture chamber long before she entered.I saw blood pooled on the floor, flesh cut and hacked, sticky, filthy work done by people who enjoyed it.
Hysteria, Hatred & Haunted Hallways
Walking deeper, the madness amplified. I saw cardinals in scarlet robes, moving furiously through halls, plotting. Soldiers clanked by with swords, boots, and holy banners. I heard horses outside. The Revolution wasn’t just political—it was hysterical.I saw it in the spirits of men—intelligent, educated—driven insane by fanaticism. Hysteria is like a virus, and here it infected everyone.
Then came the warning:
“Don’t get consumed by movements, politics, or rage. It will eat you alive.”Even Robespierre, the so-called “champion of justice,” showed me his truth: hypocrisy, hunger for power, and eventual destruction by the same force he unleashed.
The Forgotten Voices
One of the strongest messages came from those history books barely mention:Black women enslaved and brought here.I saw them—cornrowed hair, servant dresses, silent endurance. They whispered:“Don’t forget about us. Tell our story.”I also felt the energy of disabled prisoners, blind prisoners, and servants who stayed loyal even in jail. Their suffering echoes through these walls.
The Blood Room
There’s one room I can’t shake from my mind.I walked in and felt blood under my shoes—sticky, metallic, endless.I smelled it.I touched it psychically.I saw cut-up bodies, mangled remains, men who “enjoyed the dirty work.”
The plaque on the wall mentions Madame Élisabeth. All I could think was: This room isn’t just history. It’s horror carved into stone.
The Psychic Woman Who Predicted the Revolution
As I left, the spirit of a woman in black appeared—the same one I saw at the door when I entered. She carried a lantern, her head covered. She told me she was a mystic imprisoned for predicting the monarchy’s fall—and she was right. She survived Robespierre… but not for long.
Before leaving, I looked up. Three windows. And there they were: spirits leaning out, watching, then retreating like clockwork. The Conciergerie is a living museum—not of history, but of agony. And it wants us to remember.
What This Place Taught Me
✔ Cruelty doesn’t just destroy bodies. It leaves imprints that last for centuries.
✔ Hysteria is a virus. Don’t let it infect your soul.
✔ When we erase people—slaves, servants, the disabled—we repeat injustice in silence.
✔ Never forget the cost of unchecked power.
Poll: Would You Spend a Night in the Conciergerie?
Yes, I’d be curious.
No way—too haunted!
Only if Leslie came with me.
